Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is preparing to overhaul its finance depart-ment’s senior management after it finalises the appointment of Asia managing partner Perry Noble as its new global head of finance.

The magic circle firm’s partners will meet this month to consult and approve the appointment of Noble to head the department, which is divided into five subgroups. Noble is currently based in Hong Kong but will return to London to replace Simon Hall in the role, working alongside Frankfurt-based co-head of finance, Dirk Schmalenbach.
