Wall Street firm Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson has clinched a major deal for its London arm, advising Screenshop, a subsidiary of cable giant Telewest, on its £194m acquisition of TV home shopping company Sit-Up.

UK corporate head Jerry Walter, who joined from Simmons & Simmons last autumn, led the Fried Frank team on the deal, alongside Telewest in-house counsel Zack Wilson. Senior associates Stephanie Keen and Jonathan Woolf also advised on the purchase, while finance partner Tim Peterson advised on funding issues.
