The Office of the Legal Services Complaints Commissioner (LSCC) this week slammed the Law Society’s complaintshandling record after publishing the results of an audit into the solicitors’ professional body.

The report found consumers wait an average of six months for their complaints to be dealt with but also showed some delays can exceed two years. Zahida Manzoor, the Legal Services Complaints Commissioner, said the society could do more to improve its service. “In the Law Society’s case, I think the consumer has already waited long enough,” Manzoor said.
