UK law firms are failing to capitalise on the skills of their older partners, according to new research, despite the majority of commercial lawyers maintaining that firms should enforce retirement ages for partners.
In the latest Legal Week/ EJ Legal Big Question poll, less than one in 10 respondents believed top 50 law firms were effective at utilising older partners, with 68% dubbing the efforts of law firms ‘poor’.
