The UK’s largest civil service trade union has slammed the Office of the Legal Services Ombudsman (OLSO) for failing to deal with a backlog of cases, as the body prepares for post-Clementi reforms on complaints handling.
The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) claims nearly 250 cases remain outstanding at OLSO, the agency charged with overseeing the complaints handling of professional legal bodies like the Law Society.
