When it was time to consider where to do my training contract, I went through the same process as many others to decide which law firms to approach. Having grown up in the capital and taken the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law in London, I naturally looked towards the City firms. However, I also decided to consider opportunities outside the big smoke.

I was struck by the opportunities offered by a training contract with a major firm outside London. Not just by the possibility of a challenging training experience involving work of impressive quality, but that this could be done in such a friendly and supportive environment, compared with that typically offered by City firms. After much consideration I decided to accept a training contract with Mills & Reeve in Cambridge.
