My experience of working as a trainee and being responsible for coaching trainees in Bristol has been very positive. However, when I compare my experiences with those who have joined our Bristol office having trained in London, the overwhelming message is that Bristol trainees get more ‘hands on’ experience.
In a litigation department, this usually means the opportunity to develop advocacy skills before District Judges, as well as (and whisper this) the opportunity to have direct contact with clients.
