If you are looking for a training contract, your first approach to prospective firms will be on paper, through your CV and covering letter. You are trying to persuade the reader to call you for an interview.
Remember that firms know nothing about you. All they have to go on is what you write about yourself. If you miss out something important they are not telepathic. But most firms will have a sharp eye for ‘missing’ information, or even ‘fibs’.
