Leading company lawyers at the sharp end of Financial Services Authority (FSA) policing have backed the controversial City watchdog. In the latest Legal Week Benchmarker survey, conducted in association with Simmons & Simmons, two-thirds of corporate counsel branded the FSA an ‘effective regulator’.
The financial services litigation poll of 100 corporate counsel working in the financial services industry revealed 71% of respondents think the FSA is effective. A fifth (20%) said it was ‘highly effective’.
