Firms braced for tax-hit after ASB ruling

Law firms look set to face a one-off tax-hike after accountancy regulators last week approved a controversial ruling on how work in progress (WIP) should be taxed.

The Accounting Standards Board (ASB) last Thursday (10 March) agreed the findings of a special taskforce that WIP should be fully taxed.
