New York leader Sullivan & Cromwell has landed an estimated $11m (£5.73m) after selling off part of its Manhattan base to a tenant, in a rare case of a US firm cashing in on its real estate assets.

The 650-lawyer firm has sold one floor it owns at 125 Broad Street to The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), handing Sullivan a pay-off of approximately $10.9m (£5.7m).
