Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft has broken the $2m (£1.06m) profits per partner barrier as the firm becomes the first major New York firm to unveil its 2004 results.

The 31% jump takes partner profits to $2.1m (£1.11m), compared with 2003′s $1.6m (£849,000). Revenue rose by 18% against the previous year’s $353m (£187.3m) at $416m (£220m).
