German banking giant WestLB has launched a root and branch review of its legal advisers in a bid to establish its first formal law panel as the stream of banking reviews continues into 2005.
WestLB, one of Europe’s most active mid-market financiers, is set to put a formal roster of advisers in place by the summer after launching the review last year.
