Thomson Corporation has moved to allay fears that its recent acquisition of the specialist legal management consultants Hildebrandt International could compromise Hildebrandt’s highly valued independence.
Thomson, a large provider of financial and legal information and owner of several key software suppliers used by law firms, announced the acquisition of Hildebrandt in January although the terms of the purchase agreement have not been disclosed.
