Southwark Council is establishing is first ever legal panel as the London borough launches a multi-billion pound redevelopment portfolio that promises to generate a raft of high-end property instructions.
The council sent out questionnaires last autumn to around 80 law firms that had expressed an interest in working for the council, with the aim of establishing a panel by the summer of around 10 external advisers.
