Nottingham city centre has come in for some bad publicity this year. Not only has it been the subject of a Panorama report, but the chief constable himself has been regularly sounding off about drunken yobbish behaviour on the streets of Nottingham.
The city centre looks like one large party on Friday and Saturday nights. In a relatively small area there are 350 pubs, bars and nightclubs, and the police say that over 100,000 people regularly party in Nottingham on weekend nights.
