Linklaters and Clifford Chance (CC) have pledged thousands between them in aid for victims of the Asian tsunami disaster, as the UK’s leading law firms respond to the crisis.

CC, the world’s largest law firm, has made an initial donation of $100,000 (£53,000), with the firm pledging to match donations raised by partners and staff up to $500,000 (£267,000). Linklaters has made a similar commitment up to a ceiling of £500,000.
