Hong Kong Law Soc in bid to secure LLP law

The Hong Kong Law Society is pressing the local government to ditch its ban on limited liability partnerships (LLP) as the legal community attempts to bring the jurisdiction in line with other major legal markets.

The society last week issued a report supporting the need to bring in law firm LLPs, which are currently outlawed, with a special working party drawing up a proposed model.
