A&O takes lead role on Countryside take-private

Allen & Overy (A&O) has landed the lead role advising on the £218m take-private of developer Countryside Properties.

The firm is representing Countryside chairman Alan Cherry and Uberior Ventures, a subsidiary of HBOS, through investment vehicle Copthorn on their recommended public offer for £2.75 per share.
