DLA is considering sealing its ground-breaking merger with US firm Piper Rud-nick without a formal partners’ vote, it has emerged, with both firms’ management already having agreed key terms of the deal.
Speaking to Legal Week, DLA managing partner Nigel Knowles said there was so much support for the proposed transatlantic tie-up that UK partners might prefer a postal vote or even sign off the merger without a formal vote.
