Lovells set for fight in Spain over use of name

Lovells will next week face a court battle over the use of its name in Spain, as the City leader attempts to win exclusive rights to the brand against a Spanish lawyer who registered his firm as ‘Lovell’.

The hearing, which is to be held on 19 October in the Court of First Instance in Madrid, concerns the claim to the name Lovells of Spanish lawyer Manuel Rayo, who operates the firm Lovell Abogados.
