The head of the Swedish Bar has accused the England and Wales Law Society of “surrendering” to pressure from magic circle firms as the row intensifies over law firms taking multiple roles in national auctions.
Representatives from Sweden’s leading law firms, including Linklaters and Vinge, met with the Bar on 22 September to press for a revision of an April ruling that restricts law firms from acting for more than one bidder in auctions.
