Chancery Lane faces £1m fine threat

The Law Society could face fines of up to £1m if it fails to sort out its much-criticised complaints handling arm, the Government has confirmed.

The £1m figure, unveiled by the Department for Constitutional Affairs today (13 September), is the maximum penalty Chancery Lane can receive for missing complaint handling targets.
