Denton Wilde Sapte, Clifford Chance (CC) and Addleshaw Goddard have landed roles on a landmark £500m PFI scheme for the maintenance of Portsmouth’s roads.

The pathfinder project sees Portsmouth City Council hand responsibility for managing and maintaining the city’s network of roads to Ensign Highways on a 25-year contract. It is the first time a private contractor has been appointed to oversee a complete road network, including infrastructure such as street lighting.
