Shearman & Sterling has hired senior property partner Ian Nisse from Ashurst as the New York firm becomes one of the few US firms to lure a heavyweight City real estate lawyer.
Nisse is the former managing partner of Ashurst, having stepped down from the role in September 2000, and one of the top 10 London firm’s best known lawyers.
