Rebellious US lawyers, plunging profits and e-mailing associates appear to have done little to dim Clifford Chance’s (CC’s) status as the UK’s most promising legal export, according to a new survey that shows the firm is still regarded as a leading global force.
The latest Legal Week/ EJ Legal Big Question survey of more than 100 senior commercial lawyers found that 41% of respondents singled out CC as the most likely candidate if they ‘had to bet on one UK-based firm to be the leading global firm in 10 years’ time’.
