Mallesons to merge with Kwok

Top Australian law firm Mallesons Stephens Jaques is merging with independent Hong Kong practice Kwok & Yih.

The 1,000-lawyer Australian giant will take over the 25-lawyer corporate specialist from 1 October. The Hong Kong firm, which has a respected local M&A practice, also has a China outpost in Shanghai.
