Clifford Chance’s $3.75m (£2.03m) offer to settle a case relating to the collapse of San Francisco giant Brobeck Phleger & Harrison has been rejected by the legacy US firm’s liquidation committee.

In a filing on Friday (23 July), the Brobeck liquidation committee asked the San Francisco Bankruptcy Court to reject the settlement, citing the court-appointed trustee Ronald Greenspan, for his “irresponsible” conduct.
