US body for corporate counsel petitions state Supreme Court to quash in-house privilege ruling

The US’ top body for corporate counsel is fighting to overturn a ruling it is feared would slash the legal privilege extended to in-house lawyers in the US.
The Association of Corporate Counsel in America (ACC) last month petitioned California’s Supreme Court for a review of the controversial ruling, which would hit employed lawyers with corporate titles, and offered assistance on points of law.
