Linklaters has taken advantage of upcoming Japanese bar reforms by becoming the first foreign firm to announce it is to launch a local law practice in the key Asian economy.
The deal sees name partners Mitsuhiro Yasuda and Akihiro Wani join the firm from local banking leader Mitsui Yasuda Wani & Maeda, along with 20 associates.
