Insurance giant Zurich is pressing the Law Society to reform the regime for solicitors’ insurance to limit the protection handed out to law firms buying compulsory cover.
Zurich Professional head David Coughlan is calling on the Law Society to change the terms imposed for the compulsory £1m cover every solicitor must buy to void cover for firms found to have been grossly incompetent or dishonest.
