Government minister David Lammy has hit out at racism at top City firms, claiming ethnic minority lawyers face tough barriers in succeeding at commercial law.
“Ethnic minority students are winning places in top law firms only to be channelled into less commercial areas of law,” the Department for Constitutional Affairs minister told the Black Solicitors Network (BSN) at a reception on Wednesday (16 June).
