David Walter took up the post of general counsel EMEA last year, succeeding Bruce Almquist, who moved to the US legal department of EDS. Walter, who joined the group in 1999 as UK legal director after a stint as a partner at Hobson Audley (now Faegre Benson), is the first non-US lawyer to take up the role in Europe
