Wragge & Co has closed its first deal for Japanese investment bank Nomura, advising on its £245m acquisition of London event venues Earls Court Olympia Holdings and the group’s event organiser Clarion Events.
The deal saw Nomura and property investment company St James Capital acquire the exhibition and conference centres on 7 May. St James took a 75% stake in the holding company, with Nomura taking the remaining 25%, although Nomura led the acquisition and also provided debt finance for the deal.
