Squire Sanders & Dempsey is to open in Shanghai after receiving a licence from the Ministry of Justice of The People’s Republic of China.
The US firm has had a presence in Asia since the 1950s, with offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. Squire Sanders chairman Thomas Stanton said that the China practice was central to the firm’s “strategic plan for its multinational clientele”.
