Travers Smith Braithwaite‘s corporate partners Neal Watson, Oliver Barnes and client relationship partner Chris Hale advised Pinewood Shepperton on its £82.5m listing on the London Stock Exchange. Cazenove & Co acted as sponsor, financial adviser and bookrunner for the flotation and will act as broker to Pinewood Shepperton, which was advised by Macfarlanes. Partner Tim Lewis headed the team at Macfarlanes, assisted by Clive Lampard on property aspects and Douglas Shugar on share schemes.
McDermott Will & Emery‘s London head of tax, Peter Nias, has advised Exide Technologies on the UK tax aspects of the company’s exit finance structuring as a result of its emergence from Chapter 11. The completion of the reorganisation has enabled the company to reduce its debt from some £740m to £307m. Nias was supported by tax associate Nicola Purcell. Wragge & Co and Kirkland & Ellis both advised on corporate finance aspects of the transaction for Exide.
