McDermott Will & Emery‘s London head of tax, Peter Nias, has advised Exide Technologies on the UK tax aspects of the company’s exit finance structuring as a result of its emergence from Chapter 11. The completion of the reorganisation has enabled the company to reduce its debt from some £740m to £307m. Nias was supported by tax associate Nicola Purcell. Wragge & Co and Kirkland & Ellis both advised on corporate finance aspects of the transaction for Exide.
