General Electric (GE) has announced the appointment of two UK-qualified lawyers to general counsel posts resulting in three of the group’s 11 divisions’ legal posts being filled by UK-qualified lawyers.
Mark Elborne, a London-based partner in the Insurance Group of CMS Cameron McKenna, has been appointed as general counsel to GE’s Employers Reinsurance Corporation and Paul McElhinney, a UK- and Irish-qualified lawyer, has been promoted to the role of general counsel to GE Transportation. Both appointments became effective in March.
