An outgoing legal director of the now defunct claims farming company Claims Direct alerted the authorities with serious concerns about its business model six months before it floated on the Stock Exchange, Legal Week has learned.
Barrister Peter Ross, the former head of the Office for the Supervision of Solicitors (OSS), questioned both Claims Direct’s success rate for cases and its arrangements with solicitors and barristers.
