Corporate counsel are making a difference at board level in terms of commercial advice and pro-active response to problems, according to the findings in a poll of board executives conducted on behalf of Legal Director/ Pinsents this month.
The research, which also benchmarks in-house advisers against their external advisers revealed that the in-house legal function is still significantly more rated by the board than advice from private practice.
