The Singapore Government has tabled plans to offer international law firms sweeping tax cuts if they set up their Asian headquarters in the country in a bid to make Singapore a regional legal hub.
Vivian Balakrishnan, the Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry, announced on 31 March that the Government could hand foreign law firms millions of pounds in tax breaks if they set up headquarters in Singapore with a 50% tax exemption on all local income.
