This September, Covington & Burling’s London office will welcome our first group of four trainee solicitors. In doing so, we will join the select group of US law firms with London offices that train English solicitors.
The training and career prospects for solicitors in US firms in the past five years have rapidly evolved – although we have been fortunate in being able to attract strong candidates in the past, the increased volume of high calibre students and lawyers applying to our firm today bears out the fact that students and young solicitors view a position with a US law firm as a viable career alternative to a position with a UK firm.
