The Paris Bar Council has given the green light for US firms to register locally as US limited liability partnerships (LLPs).
The move, which was prompted by the merger between US firm Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker and Paris firm Moquet Borde & Associes, will be welcomed by international lawyers as evidence of a softening of the Bar Council’s stance towards international firms.
