The larger City firms dominate the provision of training contracts. In many ways they are an obvious choice for vocational training. Well resourced, they can hire up to two years ahead and fund your professional training. They will follow this with in-house training programmes in which they invest considerable sums of money. They pay much better than the average graduate salary, even in training, and increasingly they work in international markets and offer opportunities for overseas travel and placements.
