enron: lucrative bankruptcyHigh-profile Enron bankruptcy examiner Neal Batson is to earn $95m (£51.8m) in legal fees for the 18 months he spent investigating the controversial collapse of the energy giant, landing his firm Alston & Bird a substantial revenue boost.

The fee, which represents about a third of Alston’s annual income that stood at $314m (£171.2m) in 2002, was revealed by Batson in Detroit last Monday (18 March).
