Tikit, the UK-based software reseller, and Linetime, the developer of legal accounts and case management software, has extended its SQL-based Liberate product so that it operates in a so-called ‘pure Microsoft’ environment, with Microsoft Sharepoint and Active Directory.

However, at the same time, the company has created a link to Star Office 7, providing user organisations with an alternative word-processing platform to Microsoft Office.
