New York duo share spoils of Cingular's acquisition of AT&T

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson and Sullivan & Cromwell have scored the lead roles on Cingular Wireless’ $41bn (£21.5bn) takeover of AT&T Wireless.

The agreed deal sees Cingular, a joint venture between BellSouth and SBC Communications, buy AT&T Wireless for a total of £21.5bn ($41bn), with AT&T Wireless shareholders receiving $15 (£7.88) cash per common share.
