The Rome arm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer was raided last week by Italian state prosecutors searching for legal documents in relation to client Sergio Cragnotti.
A spokesperson for Freshfields confirmed to Legal Week that, under a court order from the Milan Supreme Court, federal prosecutors last Wednesday (18 February) entered the London firm’s Rome office in order to obtain documents.
