David Abdoo, the Carlton head of legal, who was last year ousted from his company secretary role at the newly merged ITV, is leaving the company at the end of the month, it has emerged. Abdoo will leave Carlton on 30 January, the last working day before the £4bn merger goes live on 2 February. His plans are unclear. Abdoo had been expected to take the company secretary role at ITV, but was stripped of the position last month amid the uproar surrounding the shareholder campaign to stop Carlton’s Michael Green becoming chairman of the merged entity.
