UK law firms are braced for a rise in employment disputes following a tribunal ruling last month that could lead to payouts of £3m to two former Sinclair Roche & Temperley lawyers turned down for equity partnership.
This week’s Legal Week/EJ Legal Big Question survey found two-thirds (69%) of the UK’s leading lawyers believe the publicity surrounding the case will encourage other women turned down for partnership to challenge their firms in the courts.
