The International Bar Association’s (IBA’s) business law division is pressing the European courts to protect the rights of in-house lawyers in the high profile Akzo Nobel test case.
The move makes the IBA the fourth legal body to intervene in the European Court of Justice (ECJ) case, which is expected to make a ruling on whether in-house lawyers’ communications in the European Union (EU) should be covered by professional privilege.
